Our Mission

The Federal Constitution begins with the words “We The People” and every State Constitution states in their Bill or Declaration of Rights that all political power is “inherent in the People”. Therefore, the absolute and inalienable right of the adult Citizens of the United States to vote directly on proposed Federal Acts, such as the Acts listed on this site, is the very foundation of all our Governments, as clearly stated by President Washington in his fairwell address to the American people. That the People are above our Government, is the founding principle of our Democratic Republic.

It has been impractical, if not impossible, for the adult Citizens to exercise this inalienable right to actually have a government that is truly “of the People, by the People, for the People, before we had the vast power of the Internet to cast and transparently record our votes in in the 21st century!

Therefore we have chosen the following Quote for our Mission Statement.

“The strength–the secret of our strength, the miracle of America, is that our greatness lies not in our government, but in the Spirit and determination of our People. When the Federal Convention met in Philadelphia in 1787, our Nation was bound by the Articles of Confederation, which began with the words, “We the Undersigned Delegates,”

When Govenor Morris was asked to draft the Preamble to our new Constitution, he offered an important revision and opened with the words that changed the course of our Nation and the history of the world. “WE THE PEOPLE”.

By trusting the People, our Founders wagered that a great and noble Nation could be built on the Liberty that resides in the hearts of all men and women. By trusting the People, succeeding generations transformed our fragile young Democracy into the most powerful Nation on Earth and a beacon of hope for millions.

And so long as we continue to trust the People, our Nation will prosper, our Liberty will be secure, and the state of our Union will remain strong.

So tonight, with confidence in Freedom’s power, and trust in the People, let us set forth to do their business. God Bless America!”

State of the Union Address

January 27, 2008

Certainly Thomas Jefferson would have endorsed the right of “WeThe People” to vote the laws directly as he said his dream government would “make every citizen an acting member of their government.”!

Abraham Lincoln states in the Gettysburg Address that we have a government “of the People, by the People and for the People”! There is no better way to have that government than to allow the people to vote the laws directly.
